Aminolabs Nutrition Expands European Footprint with Strategic Acquisition of Zoka Pharma

Based in Valencia, Zoka Pharma brings a robust product portfolio and enhanced production infrastructure to Aminolabs, allowing the group to diversify its offerings with new categories such as gels, liquids, probiotics, infant nutrition and pet supplements. The combination also boosts Aminolabs’ production capacity in core formats like tablets, capsules and stick packs, strengthening its ability to meet rising demand with speed and flexibility.

Zoka Pharma generates turnover of €11 million from two state-of-the art facilities,supported by approximately 50 employees. With only 30% of its production capacity currently utilized, Zoka offers considerable growth potential. Notably, the company aims to double its Spanish turnover to €20 million within two years.

The acquisition was made possible with the advisory support of Alantra, underlining Aminolabs’ strategic intent to pursue further acquisitions across Europe. This deal represents the first in a series of targeted expansions, aiming to grow the group’s reach and capabilities significantly.

The acquisition is also a logical continuation of the ambitious growth path set by Roger Anné and the Aminolabs management team, following their management buyout (MBO) from Waterland Private Equity in September 2023, with the strategic backing of LRM, a long-term investment partner focused on sustainable business development. This new chapter reflects a deliberate move toward agility, strategic control, and bold market expansion. Aminolabs expects to achieve a consolidated group turnover of €150 million, within the next two years.
